Illinois

Jake and I spent the weekend in Illinois. First we went to Chicago on a whim. It was Jake's first time.

We met up with Josh Lee who is the most encouraging person I know.

After crawling the city for a good spot to eat, we found a great place for some Tai food. It was the best meal I have ever had.

Josh Lee is ahead of his time. I forget he is young sometimes.

Jake and Josh bonded over old video games and Wu-Tang.

We spent the entire weekend trying to figure out what they meant by this.

The next day, we met Andy at his bar and he fed us.

The weather was really nice so we went to the lake.

We skated to the 31st Street park. I was upset about this photo because the settings on my camera will randomize if the camera is shook. How is that convenient? Luckily this photo is awesome otherwise I'd still be mad.

The 31st Street Park. Andy skated really well. Jake too. My foot is still pretty bad so I didn't really skate at all.

For dinner we had the biggest pizza I've ever seen. Thanks Andy.

On the way home, we went to Troy to visit Derek in his natural habitat. It almost felt like we were guests at his house.

Jake.

Jake and Jake.

Jake took us to his house and made us some pizzas while we watched the first Flip video. The Pratte home is really nice as are Jake's parents.

Then he showed us his video! You kids are in for something great.

Jake has a chalkboard in his room. I think I remember him calling this a self portrait, but I could be wrong.

This trip was great because Jake and I were met with true hospitality along the way. I've been to Chicago to many times to count and this was by far the greatest time I've had. Thanks to my aunt Kathy, Josh Lee, Andy, Derek and Jake for everything. We had a blast.
